QUAFETY dissemination at 11th International Symposium on Lactic Acid Bacteria
Prof. Giuseppe Spano (UniFg) presented two posters with the QUAFETY results to the 11th International Symposium on Lactic Acid Bacteria held in Egmond aan Zee (The Netherlands) from August 31 - September 4, 2014.
The event covered fundamentals and application of the most important bacteria used in food and feed production; Prof. Spano presented the following works:
- Antimicrobial activity of Lactobacillus plantarum strains and antimicrobial properties of L. plantarum small heat shock proteins (click here to download the poster)
- Antimicrobial activity of lactic acid bacteria on biofilm formed by Listeria monocytogenes; this work was also realized in cooperation with partners from Agricultural University of Athens (click here to download the poster)
